Lead Pastor

Hey! My name is Joseph Floarea, and I have the distinct privilege to serve as

lead pastor for The POL.

My story begins in Detroit Michigan where I was born in a Romanian household, to two of the hardest working immigrant parents I have ever known - Romanian is my first language. My greatest passion and desire is to serve in the house of God.  I hold a B.A. in Biblical studies and a M.A. in Non-Profit Organizational Leadership.

I met my wife, Brooke, June of 2018. Together we love to travel, explore culture, build relationships, and drink coffee... a lot of coffee.  August of 2020 we relocated to Lawrenceville with excitement, following the call of God, to lead The POL.

I hope to meet you one day.

Let's be friends!

Hi! My name is Lexi Davis, and I am grateful to serve as the

Worship Leader at The POL.

I am Georgia born and raised.  I owe several of my life’s passions to my two incredible parents.  They taught me at an early age to love and cherish the things of God above all else.  I began worshipping and praising in song and through piano when I was 11 with my three sisters and have felt a deep connection to God through those ministries ever since.

Secondarily, my parents passed down a love of baking that started with my grandfather back in 1958.  Growing up I got to serve and develop those skills in our family owned bakery.  Since the I have earned an associate’s degree in business administration from the University of North Georgia, and started my own online bakery business in January of 2019 (www.amazingglazecookies.com).

I married my wonderful husband, Deen, in 2019, and became a stepmom to two beautiful children. We love to adventure outdoors, spend time at the lake, and enjoy time with our family.

I am thrilled and honored to be a part of the leadership at POL.  I look forward to getting to know you more! Let’s get connected!

POL Kids

Hi there!  I’m Anita Rutherford and along with my husband, Roger, we lead the POL Kids.   Kid’s ministry has been our passion for years.  We starting serving in Kid’s ministry in Pensacola Florida before we moved back in Georgia.  Native to Florida transplanted to Georgia - I guess you can say we just couldn’t get Georgia off of our mind.  Our greatest desire is to see kids develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. We have two grandkids so we love spending time with them at the playground and on the lake.  Whenever we can make time we will often explore the natural beauty of Georgia.
